FPH Hosts Winter’s Night Memorial

For the first time since COVID began, the bereavement team at Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH), held an in-person Winter’s Night Memorial in the Spiritual Care Center of the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center (TBPHC) on Thursday, December 15.

This memorial gathering is held each year to remember those who have passed and to celebrate the lives they lived. This year, 112 friends and family members and 13 teammates attended to remember their loved ones.

The program included a welcome by Bereavement Manager, Binu Mathews, an opening prayer from Chaplain Vilmala Thomas, Memorial Tribute by Chaplain Bill Zink, a remembrance by Child Life Specialist, Patricia Cree and a closing prayer by Chaplain Tim Kerrick. Sprinkled throughout the program were four specially selected songs led by FPH music therapists Alyssa Price and Jennefer Dixon. The event was followed by a reception with light bites and beverages for attendees to enjoy as they had a chance to socialize with others who have experienced a similar type of grief.
