Behind the Scenes: FPH Volunteer Featured on CBS Mornings

David Begnaud, the lead national correspondent for CBS Mornings, read the article Lisa Kanarek, dedicated Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) volunteer, wrote for The Washington Post about her inspiring pet therapy experience with her dog, Gaia. He promptly reached out to her in hopes of sharing her story with the nation through a special segment on the national morning show.

Through planning and coordination with Lisa and the teams at Faith Presbyterian Hospice and Forefront Living, within two days of the request FPH was able to accommodate a CBS film crew inside the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center (TBPHC). The videographer and audio tech spent several hours filming Lisa and Gaia visiting patients in the TBPHC as part of the special feature. Watch the segment below to see each patient’s interaction and view the photos to see a view behind the scenes. Read Lisa’s article here.
