A Special Wedding Wish Fulfilled at Faith Presbyterian Hospice

At Faith Presbyterian Hospice and the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center (TBPHC) the focus is on creating meaningful moments for patients and families. Recently the Anasco family experienced one of those unforgettable moments when a special wedding wish was fulfilled.

Patient Leticia Anasco’s son Lennard and his fiancé Ashley had plans to marry in Hawaii. Knowing time might not allow Leticia to be part of that future celebration they worked with the hospice team to create a special ceremony in the Spiritual Care Center at TBPHC, so she could share in the milestone.

Lennard and Ashley’s love story began in 2016 on a flight from Dallas to Hawaii. Seated side by side they discovered they were both starting a new chapter on the islands. Ashley was moving from Orlando and Lennard from Dallas. What began as a chance meeting grew into seven years of life together in Hawaii and eventually into plans for marriage.

During the ceremony Lennard spoke about how this chapter in life has deepened his love for family. With tears in his eyes he shared how much it meant for his mother to see him affirm his commitment. Surrounded by family and love the moment became a lasting memory.

The ceremony was a reminder of what matters most. Love, family and the gift of presence. Faith Presbyterian Hospice was honored to help the Anasco family create a memory that will always be cherished.
