Thank You From Patient Family Post date September 8, 2025 The following thank you message was recently delivered to the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center team: My dad was at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center August 7-14, 2025. Let me start by saying how impressed I was with the care and attention provided by everyone at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice facility. The attention to details for both the patient and their the family was amazing. The initial hospice evaluation process provided by Ikea while my dad was waiting to be released from the hospital was very thorough. She was available and quickly responded when I had questions. Thank you (Shelby) and Lauren Barr for making the intake process go so smoothly and for making sure my dad’s chart was noted with family contact preferences. I appreciate Lauren checking in with me a couple times while I was there to see if I needed anything. It was helpful knowing she was available. The medical staff on my dads floor (Room #207) put his care first, but what really impressed me was the respect and support they provided to the families during such a difficult time. Throughout my dad’s stay, the staff did an excellent job of keeping me informed and answering my questions relating my dad’s condition. When my dad passed, the staff were so professional in the way they handled the complete process of notifying the medical examiner, funeral home, etc. It was also nice that the front receptionist was notified immediate to help streamline the check-in process for any family members arriving at the facility to see him before the funeral home arrived. The night my dad passed there were two other patients in his section that died around the same time. The families had no idea that others had passed because the care and attention they gave us made it feel like we were the only ones in the facility. Also, the volunteers were very helpful to the family. They were very kind and caring. The “family care cart” of items that a volunteer brought by were nice and needed. Please thank the volunteer that makes the “pocket cross hearts”. She had them on the cart and allowed me to choose one for myself and my dad. ← Older Posts Newer Posts →
