Hot Rods with Heart: Supporting FPH Post date September 12, 2025 On Saturday, September 6, more than 60 cars rolled in to support Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) at the 17th Annual Faith Presbyterian Hospice Car and Truck Show, hosted by the Lake Cities Misfits Car Club at Huffines Subaru in Corinth, located just outside of Dallas. The car show showcased a fleet of gleaming vehicles while also offering guests the opportunity to dine from food trucks, enjoy live music and even be entertained by a car-enthusiast parrot named Thomas! The event ended with awards, including FPH’s pick for Best in Show, awarded to a bright orange 1951 GMC 150 pickup truck, as selected by Diane Fullingim, Executive Director of the Forefront Living Foundation. Brad Soper of the Lake Cities Misfits created this event in memory of his father and to give back to hospice care. When asked why the mission to “Make Each Moment Matter” resonates so deeply with him, Brad shared, “While every moment matters, some moments matter more. FPH provides comfort and peace to patients and their families during one of life’s most precious moments. That matters to me, and it should matter to everyone.” This year, the event raised $1,294 through entry fees and donations to support the FPH Caring Fund. Brad and his band of “misfits” are a powerful reminder that creating meaningful moments for FPH’s patients and loved ones sometimes takes a whole group of misfits doing good. ← Older Posts Newer Posts →
