What are you passionate about regarding your professional role?Professionally, I am passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I take a lot of pride in providing compassionate care to patients and their families. Being a CNA is more than a profession, it’s my calling and it’s rooted in empathy and a dedication to others. Favorite memory/moment to date during your time at FPH:After I mentioned to my patient that I was happily working on my birthday, she sang “Happy Birthday” to me while playing the piano. Then she smiled and told me that we shared the same birthday. What do you think sets FPH apart from other hospice services? What sets FPH apart is the quality of care we provide, and the sense of support and value teammates feel. FPH’s commitment to continuous improvement inspires excellence in everything we do. What is something that makes you feel proud?I am most proud of the God I serve. Without my faith, I would not be able to make it through anything. Share about your family:I have three adult daughters: Jerrica, Kamry, and Tamera, and three grandchildren, Kal’El, 13, Jaicey, 5 and Ahmara, 2. Rounding out my family are my two dogs, Callie, a German Shepard and Nugget, a Chihuahua. Tell us about your hobbies:In my free time, I enjoy trying new recipes, taking road trips, shopping and spending time with my family. On the weekend, you can find me:On the weekend, you can find me in the passenger seat of my daughter’s car, going wherever the wind takes us! What are some of your favorite foods and restaurants?Currently, my favorite restaurant is Fogo De Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse. I absolutely love a good steak, preferably cooked medium-well. The amazing thing about this spot is that they constantly bring meat to the table. There are so many options! How would your friends describe you?My friends would describe me as loving, admirable and super amazing! What’s something that people might be surprised to learn about you?People are surprised to learn that I am very shy. It may not seem like it because I’ve had a lot of practice putting on a brave face. By Amee McGough Photos by Sarah Macias ← Older Posts Newer Posts →
