Chef Raul Shines at Annual Gathering Post date October 24, 2025 Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) Culinary Services Manager and Chef, Raul Solano, recently traveled to Boise, Idaho, to attend Thomas Cuisine’s annual corporate gathering. Thomas Cuisine serves as Forefront Living’s culinary partner. The trip included company updates, training in hiring best practices and financial development. The visit wasn’t all business. Teams capped off the week with a fun scavenger hunt through Boise. Representing North Texas, the Tex-ecutioners claimed victory, earning bragging rights. For Chef Raul, one highlight was being nominated for the Outstanding and Emerging Chef of 2025 award. This honor recognizes hard work and a passion for the culinary craft. Chef Raul was thrilled to be named as one of the top ten finalists. When asked what he enjoys most about his role at The Mabee Café located inside the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center, he shared, “It’s all about the relationships I’m able to build. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our customers, patients and families reminds me why I do what I do.
